Does Seismic send my data to 3rd parties for model training?
No, we do not send your data to third parties to train their models. When Seismic leverages models that third parties manage, we ensure that available privacy and safety settings are configured to limit the disclosure, storage, and use of your data for model training purposes.
Do I have a choice in what LLMs I can use?
Seismic leverages the agreed-upon cloud infrastructure of your choice (as determined at onboarding). For third-party managed models, including GPT models, we leverage Microsoft Azure, Google Gemini, and IBM watsonX.
Will my data be used to create, develop, or improve AI components in the product?
No. However, the feedback your users provide on the accuracy/effectiveness of an AI-based feature may be used to improve our existing models and/or to inform future product development.
Will product users know when or if they are utilising an AI-based feature?
Yes, our product design is centred on integrating generative AI into your workflow while prioritising transparency and the choice of AI. Our AI icon indicates our generative AI features in the interface, so users are informed when they engage with generative AI technology.
Does the product provide alternatives or opt-in/out functionality for AI-enabled features?

Seismic’s generative AI features meet Seismic’s best-in-class data privacy and security standards, including certification in SOC2 Type II, ISO 27001, and ISO 27701. Our products are tested and vetted by leading security tools and penetration testing against Open Web Application Security project standards and the MITRE ATLAS penetration testing.
